Happy New Year! Thanks for stopping by again. I hope this year is filled with lots of crafty time for you and me 🙂
Now let’s get started with the project I want to share today. I was playing with the new Spellbinders January Large Die Kit and have to say that I love that this kit offers several dies that can be used for birthday’s, Mother’s Day, Anniversary and Valentine’s Day cards. It’s very versatile and I love that about these dies.
These are the dies that are in the kit this month:

Supplies needed:
- Patterned Paper (or white card stock and background stamp)
- Adhesive (glue is best for these)
- Colored card stock (I used light pink, light pearl blue, purple, dark pink, red, light green, yellow, orange, turquoise, kraft)
- Rhinestones, pearls and sequins (or Nuvo drops)
- Acetate (or foil from stamp packaging)
- Gold embossing powder & Heating tool
- Memento Black ink
- Gina K Raspberry Ink
- Wink of Stella
- Vellum
Let’s take a look a closer look at the cards I created and below each photo will be details of how it was made.

This card was very simple. I die-cut both hearts from the kit thru my card base, patterned paper, red card stock and clear acetate. Then I cut out the branches from green card stock (if you don’t have the colors of card stock you need, you could take white card stock and color it with Copic markers or any other alcohol markers). After I finished my die-cutting, I adhered the acetate to the outside of my card base. Then on-top of that I adhered the pattered paper (of course, line it up so the hearts match perfectly. My next step was to adhere the green branches and then the red heart outline. Lastly, adhere rhinestones or pearls onto of the branches.

For this card, I used a stencil and blended over two various spots on the card stock with raspberry ink. Then I die cut all the flowers, branches and bow and started using glue to adhere them all together. I embossed with Ranger Gold Embossing powder on a strip of vellum a Happy Birthday sentiment and then assembled the card by placing the bouquet on the card stock. I colored the flowers with a clear wink of stella and added white pearls onto of the flowers.

I will not go into detail on this card or the next two cards because those were very simple.

Thanks for stopping by again. If you have any questions in regards to these cards, please leave me a comment below. Also let me know which card you like the best.
Happy Stamping!
