Masculine Cards & GIU Giveaway Continues

Hello Friends,

We’re almost at the end of this week, but before we call it a week, I have a few more cards to share with you. Today I’m featuring three masculine cards. Let me tell you that masculine cards are SO difficult for me to visualize and create. So I decided to challenge myself to create at least two cards to share with you. Imagine how ecstatic I am that I have three to share instead of just two! These will come in handy as my Dad’s birthday is just around the corner.

Let’s get started, here is what you will need for these projects:

  • White card stock
  • Neenah Desert Storm card stock (80 lbs)
  • Ivory pearl card stock
  • Bronze Metal card stock
  • Copic Friendly Ink
  • Copic Markers: R29, R08, R05, T05, C02, Y08
  • Gina K Ink: Warm Glow
  • Catherine Pooler Inks: Over Coffee, Sand Castle
  • Foam Squares
  • Glue
  • Nuvo Drops: Ripened Pumpkin
  • Gina K White Embossing Powder
  • Anti-static tool
  • Heat Gun
  • Red & Bronze Peel Offs from Love from Lizi
  • Birthday Dies from Memory Box
  • All Cylinders Stamp from Unity
  • Slowly Turning Classic Stamp from Unity
  • Say It Big Stamp from Unity

Card #1

This card was very quick and simple. Because I wanted to use Neenah Desert Storm, I picked a slightly darker ink than the card stock to stamp the background. The ink is Gina K Warm Glow. The stamp and sentiment is from the All Cylinders stamp set. I stamped the car and sentiment repeatedly on the card stock.

I die cut the birthday word from bronze metal card stock and the shadow of it from ivory pearl card stock. After adhering the words and sentiment strip to the card, I added some Nuvo drops in the color Ripened Pumpkin.

Card #2

This card is pretty self explanatory. I created the background the same way as the previous card and stamped the images and sentiments onto white card stock. After adhering the white card stock I added some bronze metal peel offs and some green-yellow embellishments that I received from Create a Smile as a ‘Thank You’ for my order. I did not want to color in the card because I did not want the card to be too colorful. If you want to color the car, you could use sand and brownish colors and that would still look nicely together.

Card #3:

This last card is also very simple. I heat embossed the CONGRATS sentiment from the Say It Big stamp set all over the background with white embossing powder and then blended the background with Catherine Pooler’s Over coffee and Sand Castle Inks. After stamping the images with a Copic friendly black ink, I colored the images with the following copic colors: R29, R08, R05, T05, C02, Y08.

After adhering the colored piece and the sentiment, I added some red peel offs to the card. The sentiment was propped up with square foams.

And those are the cards for today. I hope they inspired you to create. I will be back tomorrow with more cards.
